HYGGE PARENTHOOD
Our goal? To help you feel comfortable, confident, and relaxed as your child transitions into the early years.
In Scandinavia, that special feeling of a cozy home or "hygge" is the foundation to health, wellbeing, and happiness. We strive to bring this cozy, cared-for feeling to you through our toddler and preschooler services and consultations.
We believe that raising happy, healthy children requires just the right amount of outdoor play, learning, healthy eating, healthy sleep, and "lagom", or contentment. We also believe that creating as natural a play environment as possible, creates a healthier environment for toddlers and preschoolers to grow and thrive, and we are happy to assist families in selecting organic and natural toys and products.

Meet Kate Wallace, Founder
Why Choose Hyggehood?
Hi, I'm Kathryn (Kate) Wallace, RN, a Boston nurse with over two decades of newborn and childcare experience. One of my very favorite things to do is help new parents adjust to parenthood in the easiest, coziest, most comforted way possible with a friend by their side. I love incorporating part of my Swedish heritage into our “hygge child” model of care.
I hold a master's degree in healthcare leadership from Brown University, and really enjoy working with new families as they transition from pregnancy into childhood. I created Mamma and Bebis to do just that after experiencing my own difficult pregnancy, and lack of supportive resources. In the three years since I started Mamma + Bebis, I’ve had many clients ask about services related to the toddler and preschool years. This is what led me to open Hyggehood. I like to think of it as a continuation of care for our current families, and a great new resource for welcoming new families with slightly older children.
Our team of childhood experts, childcare experts, and nurses are here to ensure that your transition to early childhood is seamless and supported. We greet you with a box of pastries and coffee upon our arrival, and hope to make our visit comforting, educational, and rewarding for both you and your child.
With experts throughout the east coast, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New York we look forward to finding the right fit for your growing family.
We're proud to share our partnership with Cradles to Crayons
